A Leading Destination for LGBTQ+ Surrogacy

The U.S. is a global leader in surrogacy, providing LGBTQ+ families with a secure, inclusive, and legally protected environment to achieve their dreams of parenthood. Its well-established legal frameworks and regulated processes ensure that all parties—intended parents, surrogates, and donors—are protected through clear and enforceable agreements.

Surrogacy for Same-Sex Couples in the U.S.

For same-sex couples, the U.S. remains one of the few countries where international commercial surrogacy is legally accessible. In surrogacy-friendly states, legal contracts are fully enforceable, and intended parents are recognised as the child’s legal parents from birth. However, surrogacy laws vary widely across states, with some explicitly prohibiting surrogacy agreements. As a result, thorough research is essential before beginning the journey.

Some intended parents choose Independent Surrogacy to reduce costs, managing the journey directly with their surrogate without agency involvement. While this can significantly lower expenses, it requires considerable time, effort, and expertise to navigate successfully.

The United States offers LGBTQ+ families an unparalleled opportunity to grow their families through surrogacy. By understanding the financial commitments, legal requirements, and available pathways, intended parents can approach this life-changing journey with confidence and clarity.
